Mention a Content Hub User Group in an Annotation

Sitecore Content Hub provides an Annotation feature, that you can use to review content, provide feedback and collaborate with others.

To mention a Content Hub user in an Annotation, Select the text in Content Entity, enter @ followed by a username, and select as many people as you want. When you mention a user, they receive an email with your comment and a link to the content entity.

The issue is Sitecore Content Hub Provides a feature that you can mention the User but if there is a User group and you want any of them can review, approve, or take action on the entity so no such option we have in Sitecore to mention a User Group in an annotation.

I have checked with Sitecore and Sitecore submitted a feature request for the Content Hub product so that it can be considered for future versions of the product. To track the future status of this request, please use the reference number "FRM-2121".

See the Sitecore documentation for How to use public reference numbers and the Working with My Product Issues page on the Support Portal.

Workaround:

1. Navigate to your schema and on M.Content definition.

2. Go to your content type, Choose the New Member option

3. Create a relation linking M.Content ( will be the parent ) and M.Discussion entity definitions.

4. On that Relation enable only "allow navigation" and "allow updates".

5. Go to the Content Detail page, insert an "entity comments" component, and use the aforementioned relation.

6. Navigate to your Content entity, you will have an Entity Comments component and through this component, you shall be able to tag a whole user group.

Note: On selection of New Member on the Schema page, if you are not able to see the Relation options like below,

then you may need to check with your Sitecore Custom Success Manager, reason can be with your current license of Content Hub. This feature is available in "Free Modelling". To enable free modeling, it is required to upgrade the current license from ProSaaS to Professional.
